Cambridge C1 Academy

Every Part of C1 Advanced, One Exam at a Time

TCKR Labs - FZCO School packages: No

Cambridge C1 Academy is the biggest of the four academies, with 1,472 exams that cover every part of C1 Advanced (CAE). You practise Use of English, Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking task by task, read an explanation for every answer and get your proposals, reports and essays corrected by AI. The first exam of each part is free in the browser.

Serious preparation for C1 Advanced

C1 Advanced is the level many universities and employers ask for, and the exam feels like it. Texts are longer, the distractors are subtler and the Writing paper expects a register that most learners have never been taught explicitly. Cambridge C1 Academy, built by TCKR Labs, treats the exam with that respect. Its 1,472 exams follow the CAE papers part by part, so you build up every skill in the same shape the examiners will test it.

Use of English at the level the exam demands

There are 373 Use of English exams across Multiple Choice, Open Cloze, Word Formation and Keyword Transformation. At C1 these parts are less about knowing a rule and more about knowing which collocation, linker or fixed phrase a native writer would pick. The explanations are what make the difference here: every answer is explained, so wrong answers turn into notes rather than frustration.

Reading and Listening with real depth

Reading has 254 exams covering Long Text, Cross Matching, Missing Paragraphs and Multiple Matching. Cross Matching, where you compare the opinions of several writers, is a part many candidates find hard to practise elsewhere, so it is good to see it so well stocked. Listening has 220 exams with Extracts, Gapped Text, Multiple Choice and Multiple Matching, on real audio with speed control, ten-second skips, a full transcript and explanations that jump straight to the right moment in the recording.

Writing that gets proper feedback

The 300 Writing tasks cover Essay, Report, Review, Letter and Proposal. You write with a live word counter, then ask for a correction and receive a score, detailed feedback, suggestions and a list of grammar and spelling mistakes. For C1, where tone and organisation count as much as accuracy, having that feedback on demand is genuinely valuable. Every task also comes with a model answer, which I find is the quickest way to understand what a good proposal or report actually looks like.

Speaking, simulations and fresh exams

Speaking has 325 exams for General Questions, Images, Bubbles Discussion and Final Discussion, each with its prompts and timings, and a recorder that keeps your recordings on your device. When you want to test yourself properly, the Exam Simulator runs a full Reading & Use of English, Listening or Writing paper against the clock, with no answers until the end, then compares your time with the real exam's 1 h 30 min. The Exam Generator writes a brand new exam on any topic you choose.

Who I'd recommend it to

Candidates who need the 180 that passes C1 Advanced on the Cambridge English Scale, whether for a university place, a job or simply to prove their level. It is particularly good for learners who already read and listen comfortably in English but need structured practice on the exam's trickier task types and on formal writing. Try it at cambridgeacademy.app: the first exam of every part is open without an account, and a free account adds a second exam per part, one simulated exam and two AI credits.
